Ott 29th, 2019 In : News By : admin 0 Comments

Abstract submission deadline extended to November 10.

Following the Appeal to the International Community “Building Peace through Heritage” (www.lifebeyondtourism.org/appeal) defined with ICOMOS International Scientific Committee Interpretation and Presentation, and approved during the 21st General Assembly of the International Experts of the Foundation, this 2020 event will be developed along three subthemes dealing with economic, socio-cultural, environmental aspects highlighting the importance of the interpretation and communication of the places with their cultural expression (craftmanship, artists, less known institutions, small businesses etc) and the importance of intercultural dialogue that is possible today for the great movement of people at world wide level, esteemed by UNWTO close to 1,400 million.
The Life Beyond Tourism Movement represents the tangible contribution for the implementation and awareness rising of cultural expressions that are powerful resources for the sustainable development of places.

The Simposium will discuss the potentialities of dialogue for the sustainable development of all the cultures gathering transversal experiences from a multiplicity of fields to allow a wider understanding and a cross-fertilization among different sectors. The Simposium is aimed at widening the concept of cultures, therefore of dialogue among cultures, aim of the Foundation since 1991.
