VI International Conference on: Science and Technology in Archaeology and Conservation (STAC VI) The event will be held in Rome during the period of 9-14 December 2008 and it is organised in cooperation with: UNWTO - the United Nations World Tourism Organisation; Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Italy); ICCROM - The International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property; DOA - the Department of Antiquities of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of Jordan; The Legado Andalusi (Granada - Spain), the Queen Rania Institute for Tourism and Heritage (Jordan), the Hashemite University (Jordan); and supported by the ICE (Italian Trade Commission), the Condotte d'acqua S.p.A., the Center of British Research in the Levant (Jordan), the Higher Council for Science and Technology (Jordan). About one hundred and thirty participants from 33 countries are expected to present their latest experiences in the field of protection and promotion of cultural heritage. The STAC Conference this year will focus especially on the problems of documentation of Cultural Heritage during times of crisis and a Workshop is being organised on the subject dedicated to study civil military relations in this very specific area of application of the Hague Convention 1954 and its protocols.
