WATCH plans for the year 2008 approved by the Board of Trustees. The most relevant activities for the coming year will include a series of Seminars/Trainings dedicated to Cultural Heritage Protection in areas at risk from armed conflicts. These activities will be especially designed for Military and Civil experts engaged in Cultural Heritage management. Trainings are envisaged to take place in Amman (Jordan), Beirut (Lebanon) and Rome (Italy).

The World Association for the protection of Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage in times of armed conflicts organises the ‘6th Conference on Science and Technology in Archaeology and Conservation’ that will take place in Rome (Italy) from 8 through 14 December 2008. The Conference is organised in cooperation with El Legado Andalusi (Spain), the Department of Antiquities of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of Jordan (HKJ), the United Nations World Tourism Organisation and ICCROM.
